A Breathitt County man admits that he illegally sold three federally protected birds.
Thirty two year old Danny Gayheart pleaded guilty to selling the three Red Tail Hawks to an undercover agent in March.
Gayheart says he used a steal trap to catch the birds.
Under his plea agreement he will pay restitution, which is the cost of rehabilitating the two surviving birds.
He also faces up to two years in prison when he's sentenced in February.
