One man is in jail after a string of car break-ins in Floyd County late Tuesday night.
Police say the suspect was pulled over on suspicion of DUI and then they discovered the stolen items in his car.
Kevin Young faces a list of charges including DUI, drug possession, and receiving stolen property.
Prestonsburg Police say three different officers were investigating car break-ins in parking lots at Wal-mart, Food City, and Speedway late Tuesday night.
Later an officer pulled over a car on Lake Drive on suspicion of DUI.
"At that time, we were in the process of finishing the investigation on the DUI complaint, we actually noticed some things in the vehicle that were things reported stolen that evening," said Adam Dixon, Prestonsburg Police Officer.
Dixon says they found the stolen credit cards, cash, purses, and electronics in Kevin Young's car. He says Young denied the thefts.
"The only thing he said was that he actually didn't have his vehicle, that a friend of his had drove his vehicle, that he hadn't had his vehicle all night," said Dixon.
Police say they had enough evidence to believe Young was the thief.
"Actually ended up making the arrests not only for DUI, but for thefts as well," said Dixon.
Officers say they also found several drugs in the car and added drug possession charges too.
Dixon says all of the stolen items were returned to the owners. "It makes us feel good anytime we can get people's property back to them," said Dixon.
Young is in the Floyd County Detention Center. His bond is $1,000 cash.
