Man convicted of abusing a toddler is sentenced

A man who police say abused a toddler was sentenced on Friday.

19-year-old Dustin Crum will serve five years in prison after being convicted of second degree criminal abuse.

Last July, Crum was arrested after deputies were called to a home in the Van Lear community after getting a tip.

Once there, investigators say they found a one-year-old child with bruises and injuries on the child's body.
