A Floyd County man could spend more than two decades in prison after being convicted on assault and DUI charges.
In February of 2011, Marion Kilburn crashed into a car carrying a five-year-old child.
Police say he was driving on the wrong side of U.S. 23 and that his blood alcohol content was double the legal limit.
A jury found Kilburn guilty of 1st degree assault, 4th degree assault, and DUI.
The jury recommended a sentence of 23 years in prison.
