Updated: Wed 12:52 AM, Jul 06, 2011

A southern Kentucky man faces rape charges after police say he sexually assaulted a child.

In addition to rape, 57-year old Steven Douglas Jr. faces two counts of sexual abuse.

State police say Douglas lured the child into a home while Douglas was visiting his father in Whitley County. Neighbors tell 27 NEWSFIRST the child lived nearby and Douglas had been in the neighborhood taking care of his elderly father.

Douglas was arrested, and state police are asking anyone who may have information about him to call the London post at 606-878-6622.
