Man is facing charges following mobile home fire

Police in Pulaski County say one man's conflict with his neighbors reached a boiling point Thursday when he tried to burn their home down with them in it.

27 year old Merrill Brandon Martin is now charged with arson, but more charges could be forthcoming.

Police say Martin set fire to the home on Ironwood Drive near Burnside while the family of four was inside. That family escaped without being hurt.

Martin is now in jail.

Police say Martin also stole several items, including a riding lawnmower from another nearby home.

Police say Martin and the fire victims had been having an argument that could have led to the fire.
