Man is indicted for beating his wife with a meat cleaver

A Whitley County man who police say repeatedly hit his wife in the face and head with a meat cleaver in February has been indicted by a grand jury.

Investigators say James Privett admitted to attacking his wife, Erica, several times with the kitchen tool at their home in Williamsburg.

A new court date has not been set.
