Updated: Thu 7:05 PM, Dec 29, 2011

A man accused of stabbing a friend in Pikeville pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Daniel Gillispie, 21, is charged with assault first degree and impersonating a police officer for the stabbing Tuesday night at an apartment building on Poplar Street.
Pikeville Police detectives say Gillispie claimed to be a police officer to get Tommy Bray to open the door, and then stabbed him.
Gillispie's bond remains $30,000 dollars cash.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next week.
Bray, 21, is in intensive care in Pikeville Medical Center.
