Updated: Sun 5:35 PM, Jul 15, 2012

Police say a man robbed a convenience store in Pulaski County Friday night.

Police say the man entered the D&D Food Mart off North Highway 27 at Science Hill around 10:00 p.m.

Police say the man was armed with a screwdriver.

Police say he demanded cash from the clerk and then left on foot.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit tracked the suspect a short distance before losing the track where the suspect apparently got into a vehicle.

He was described as a male suspect wearing a black shirt and tan pants with a mask and gloves.

Officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this robbery to contact them at (606) 678-5145.
