Man will be sentenced on vote buying charges

A Breathitt County man will be sentenced after he pleaded guilty to federal vote buying charges.

Michael Salyers was a candidate in a 2010 magistrate’s race in Breathitt County.

Along with Salyers, seven others have been charged in separate indictments including former Breathitt County Superintendent Arch Turner.

Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings, and Earl Young will all be sentenced on July 26th.

Arch Turner's trial is set to begin at the end of July.
