Manning to tell judge about WikiLeaks disclosures

Posted: Thu 9:47 AM, Feb 28, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) - An Army private will appear before a military judge this morning to explain how and why he allegedly carried out the biggest leak of classified material in U.S. history.

The judge is considering whether to accept Pfc. Bradley Manning's offer to plead guilty to some charges in the WikiLeaks case.

But Manning could still face more serious charges, such as aiding the enemy, which carries a potential life sentence.
