FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky's colleges and universities are planning to offer online assistance for students looking to transfer schools.
An online transfer fair, dubbed "Transfer Madness," is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST. The event will allow students to chat online with transfer advisers, search for scholarships, download materials and get questions answered.
Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson on Wednesday praised the effort that's aimed at creating a seamless transition from high school to community and technical colleges to four-year schools. Abramson says the best way to improve Kentucky's workforce is to encourage a culture of attending colleges and universities, with a system that has no barriers to transferring credits.
Students can register early for the event at http://www.transfermadness.org .
