Updated: Sun 8:41 AM, Feb 03, 2013

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- What police say started as a domestic violence complaint led them to a marijuana growing operation.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says they arrested Donnie Rutherford, 39, at his home in Keavy Friday afternoon.

He's charged with marijuana cultivating and trafficking.

Deputies say they found 20 marijuana plants, along with marijuana growing equipment, and some cash.

They say Rutherford grew the plants just outside his home.
