Marking the Daniel Boone trail could boost Kentucky's economy

Officials say plans to mark the trail Daniel Boone took through Kentucky could help boost the economy.

A coalition of groups are working to put signs along a stretch of land called Boone’s Trace so that people can find the paths that still exist.

Boone Society President Sam Compton says the trail known as A National Treasure, which runs from the Cumberland Gap to Clark County.

Last month, the Daniel Boone Festival Committee unveiled a live-sized Bronze Statue of Daniel Boone in Barbourville.
