STEARNS, Ky. (WYMT/Corbin Times-Tribune) - Some McCreary County inmates will soon take residence in another county.
The Laurel County Jailer told the Corbin Times-Tribune the Department of Corrections made the request to move the inmates from McCreary County to Laurel, because the population at the Laurel jail has decreased over the past 60 days.
The jailer said it would bring about $15,000 in additional revenue.
