MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Middlesboro Police say they caught three men making meth in a neighborhood!
Police say the meth was cooking Wednesday night in a car in a driveway on Fleetwood Road.
The woman who lives in the home says a car pulled up in her driveway. She did not want to talk on camera but says she did not know the three men in the car.
Police say they caught the men making one-step meth labs in the car.
"Officer Barry Cowan received a tip, and he observed three gentlemen in a vehicle. He approached the vehicle and found they were in fact cooking meth in the vehicle," said Lt. David Buis.
Middlesboro police arrested Andrew Vanover, 38, Mike Dean Evans, 54, and Charles Wayne Shelby, 41, who also had warrants out for him on manufacturing and trafficking meth charges.
Bond is set at $100,000 cash for Shelby. No bond is set yet Evans and Vanover.
Neighbors who lived on the street also did not want to do interviews but say they are concerned there was meth in their neighborhood. However, police say the neighbors are safe.
"No concerns with any type of exposure or anything like that," said Lt. Buis.
Police credit an anonymous tip for helping them catch the suspects and the meth.
"We appreciate the public's help," said Lt. Buis.
Middlesboro Police say anyone who suspects drug activity in their neighborhood can report it and stay anonymous.
