Police say a one step meth lab, which is a lab made from a plastic bottle, was thrown off the road next to New Salem Cemetery in London.

"We received a complaint from a neighbor that lived in the vicinity of a cemetery, that they had observed the vehicle pull into the cemetery and pitch something out that they thought might be contraband, so we dispatched a deputee. When the deputee arrived at the scene he located a one step meth lab," said Gilbert Acciardo, the Public Affairs Deputy for the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.

Those neighbors did not want to talk on camera but say they found the meth lab next to New Salem road in the woods, near the cemetery.

"We still are afraid that maybe a child would stumble upon something like that not knowing what it was and be hurt very badly.," Acciardo said.

Police say they do not know why the lab was thrown out of the car.

"We believed that they either got scared off by something they observed in the area or two after they started the process and thought this is not what I want to do and got rid of it," said Acciardo.

Police say they do not have any leads.
