Middlesboro man pleads guilty to sodomy

MIDDLESBORO, Ky.(WYMT) The case of a Bell County man facing sexual abuse and sodomy charges has ended.

The Middlesboro Daily News reports Bobby Akers of Middlesboro pleaded guilty to one count of sex abuse and two counts sodomy.

He was indicted last year after prosecutors argued he sexually abused a child under the age of 12 between 2009 and 2011.

The Commonwealth's Attorney recommended a ten year sentence.
