Middlesboro police arrest two on drug charges

A traffic stop on U.S. 25E in Bell County Wednesday night leaves two Georgia men behind bars.

Middlesboro police tell Mountain News during the stop, officers got suspicious when they heard statements from the driver and passenger.

When they searched the car, they found hundreds of pills and a loaded gun.

The men were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.

They are being held in the Bell County detention center.
