SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - While he is most known as a governor, presidential candidate and best-selling author, Mike Huckabee traveled to Somerset to talk to students and the community about leadership.

Governor Huckabee was welcomed by the crowds who he said probably paid more than he would to hear himself speak and it was not about politics.

Hundreds filled the auditorium at the Somerset Christian School to hear Governor Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee talked about the importance of a Christian education and how students could be the light for the future generation.

“You will go forth as light in a dark world. How are we going to get America back to where it ought to be? We are going to turn the lights on. That’s how!” Huckabee said.

The avid musician even played some bass guitar in hopes of raising money for the school.

School officials say they think it is important

Huckabee was asked if he would run for president again and said, “I will not rule that out” but he restated he was not there with a political agenda.
