Mine That Bird at Ky. Derby Museum

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Mine That Bird, a 50-1 longshot that won the Kentucky Derby in 2009, is going to be stabled at the Kentucky Derby Museum this spring.

Museum officials say in a news release that the gelding will be on view for visitors to see from April 15 to July 4.

Mine That Bird retired from racing in the fall of 2010 and has been stabled in New Mexico.

It marks the first time a Derby winner will be stabled at the museum. Past thoroughbreds on display there have been Perfect Drift, who was 3rd in the 2002 Kentucky Derby, and Phantom on Tour, who ran in the 1997 Kentucky Derby.
