Miner loses case against mine

An underground miner has lost his case claiming he was fired from his job as a roof bolter in a Letcher County mine because he felt it was an illegal and dangerous place.

Mark Gray was fired from North Fork Coal Corporation in 2009.

After the U.S. Labor Secretary declined to file suit on Gray's behalf, Gray filed his own suit.

An administrative law judge ruled that Gray was fired for poor work performance.
