Prosecutor: Plea on drug charges should be tossed in Mingo County case

Mingo County, West Virginia- The prosecutor in an ongoing federal corruption investigation case in Mingo County, West Virginia says George White's guilty plea should be thrown out.

The prosecuting attorney Keith Randolph has no objection to setting aside George White's guilty plea. Randolph asked the judge to go back to the pretrial stage this afternoon.

White says his guilty plea should be vacated because he was not given a right to choose his attorney.

White's Print Shop was raided in February and police found drugs when Sheriff Eugene was in charge of the raid.

A federal court document shows that White was selling drugs to Crum.

Former Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury and Prosecutor Michael Sparks have pleaded guilty to conspiring to have White fire his attorney to keep him from going to federal investigators with information on Crum.
