WYMT Severe Weather Alert

We're tracking the possibility of more storms rolling through today, with some of them being strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area under a slight risk for severe weather through this evening. The main threats at this point look to be wind and hail. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you as needed.

Minor fire breaks out at Harlan County business

Fire crews in Harlan County were busy Thursday night.

Dispatchers tell Mountain News flames broke out around 11 at Southern Wholesale in Harlan.

The fire was contained to the lumber yard behind the business.

There was no major damage and no one was injured.
