Missing Madison Co. teen sent messages to her family before disappearance

The family of a missing Madison County teenager says she sent some troubling text messages in the hours before she disappeared.

Brookelyn Farthing has not been seen since June 22nd. Her stepfather said today, farthing sent messages that morning trying to get a ride home from a party in Berea, after she got into an argument with a friend.

He says she also sent text messages to her ex-fiance to to come pick her up because she was scared. Farthings stepfather also says the last message sent from her phone said she no longer needed a ride and was going to a party in Rockcastle County.

He also says a cell phone tower in Lincoln County got a signal from her phone that morning.

State police would not confirm any of this information.
