CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Some folks got to check out some toys for grown-ups in Southeastern Kentucky.
Organizers say the monster truck show last weekend at the Arena in Corbin was fun for the entire family.
The Monsters and Magic Tour visited the Arena in Corbin last Friday and Saturday.
One of the drivers told us the trucks steer and everything pretty much like a normal pick-up would, but say the biggest thing is pulling up next to something.
He told us that you can't see right in front of you, so you got to kind of get a feel for how close you can get to things.
17 year old driver Cody Holman told us he loves being behind the wheel.
"Probably the most exciting is getting the reaction you got from the crowd. How good you did or if they really liked this or didn't like this." Holman said.
But before the crowd could roar, the venue must be set up.
One part of the preparation involves tying the cars that will be smashed together.
Organizers say they always hope the monster trucks will mean monster thrills for everyone attending.
