Many areas across the bluegrass saw some snow on Saturday, including here in Eastern Kentucky.
Perry County got about 4 inches of snow.

It snowed and snowed in perry county on saturday

"I don't like the snow, but I think it's beautiful to watch," said Larry Hoskins, a Perry County local.

And the wintry conditions caused problems for many.

"I was on my way to work and all was normal except for the bad weather and I got up to the red light and my car died but someone at the gas station gave me a jump. Now i'm here hopefully trying to get to work," said Clinton Works, who got stuck in the snow while driving.

One local was trying to get his truck ready to weather the storm.

"I'm just throwing some bricks in the back to give the truck some weight. It's just two wheel drive so it's real light and I don't want the rear end sliding around on me," said Gus Fortney, a local who was putting concrete blocks in his truck.

While another was stuck shoveling snow in the cold.

"I'm ready for summer. I think we're all ready for summer. Of course, next year when it's 95 degrees we'll be saying we wish we had some of this cool I'm sure," said Gene Hamon, a pastor at Victory Assembly Church in Hazard.

Most people are saying they are ready to see the snow go.

"Oh yes. I'm ready for the warm weather. I love warm weather a whole lot more than I do this," said Martin Dykes, who lives in Perry County.

And with more snow likely in the future, this is probably only the beginning for the snow.
Other counties in the mountains generally received the same amount of snow, more in areas of higher elevation.
