More transparency needed with child protection

That was the consensus of about 250 people who attended the
Kentucky Summit to End Child Abuse Deaths, which was held Saturday in Louisville, The Courier-Journal and the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.

Other top changes recommended during the summit include
increasing funds for effective programs and additional social
workers and improving collaboration among agencies that are
involved with child welfare.

Recommendations from the summit that was hosted by Kentucky
Youth Advocates will be sent to Gov. Steve Beshear and lawmakers.
