WEST LIBERTY - Perhaps nobody can sympathize more with the Oklahoma tornado victims than those who were affected by the March 2, 2012, tornado outbreak in Kentucky.
One of the hardest-hit areas that day was Morgan County.
The EF3 tornado killed seven people there and caused $250 million in damages.
"It brings it back when you see what Oklahoma is going through," Morgan County Judge Executive Tim Conley said. "Your heart goes out to them because you've lived it and you can sympathize."
Conley said the images of devastation from Oklahoma are haunting.
"It flushes those memories back in...it flushes the memory of that night," Conley said.
Conley and other elected officials in Morgan County plan to issue a proclamation to offer support to the Oklahoma tornado victims.
That proclamation will be mailed to the mayor of Moore, where most of the damage is centered.
