WYMT Severe Weather Alert

We're tracking the possibility of more storms rolling through today, with some of them being strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area under a slight risk for severe weather through this evening. The main threats at this point look to be wind and hail. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you as needed.

Morgan County woman facing child abuse charges

WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A West Liberty woman is behind bars facing child abuse charges.

State police say they received a compliant on December 1st at a home on the 6100 block of Highway 772.

After obtaining a warrant, police arrested 33 year old Shanna Helton on December 7th.

She is currently charged with assault, and child abuse and is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Jail.
