Murder case is heading to grand jury

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The case against a woman, who allegedly murdered the man she was caring for, is headed to a grand jury.

Sue King is accused of shooting Earl Carter inside his home last week.

Police testified in court that King shot him four times.

You heard the 911 tapes last week of King admitting to killing carter.

A state police detective said King said she shot Carter because he would not let her leave the house.

“She stated that she thought she shot his foot. But now knows she didn't. She said he'd been after me all evening and wanted, she referred to as "nookie" which I understand as sexual relations,” KSP Detective Mark Medford said.

Police testified that King has refused to talk to them about the shooting, but they have evidence in the 911 recording and a statement she gave a Knox County Deputy Sheriff.
