WHITESBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - A man charged with murder in Letcher County now faces a new charge.
Jail officials tell us a hypodermic needle was found taped to a bunk bed assigned to him.
James Maggard now faces an additional charge of promoting contraband.
He is in jail for allegedly murdering Drad Fleming earlier this year.
Police say Fleming was still alive before Maggard poured gasoline and set him on fire in a truck.
He's pleaded not guilty in the case.
