These storms will likely feature strong winds and hail, with heavy rain and an isolated tornado (mainly possible in the Cumberland Valley/I-75 corridor) being the secondary threats. Keep it locked here for the latest.
MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - A Murray man who pleaded guilty but mentally ill to manslaughter in the stabbing death of his mother has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The Murray Ledger & Times reports Calloway County Circuit Judge Dennis Foust handed down the sentence on Friday to 34-year-old Michael Joseph Burke.
Burke had been originally charged with murder in the July 2012 attack on his mother, 55-year-old Karen McClellan, at his home.
According to his plea agreement, Burke must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
