Museum of oddities opens in Johnson County

VAN LEAR, Ky. (WYMT) - A museum of the macabre is now open in van Lear in Johnson County.

Eli Harrington told the Independent he wanted to share his collection of strange and unusual things.

Items on display include photos of paranormal activity, vampire hunting supplies, civil war-era surgical tools and amputation knives.

Harrington says he enjoys sharing the stories behind the off-beat oddities and he says the museum is a little creepy, but in a fun way.
