FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - If you use natural gas to heat your home, state leaders say you'll save some money this winter.
The Kentucky Public service commission says right now, natural gas costs are the lowest in ten years.
We're told the average Kentuckian will pay about 12 percent less this November, compared to last November.
The PSC estimates the average total bill for 10,000 cubic feet, including base rates, is projected to be about $85.55 per month.
The PSC says increasing gas supplies caused prices to drop. Wholesale costs this year are, on average, about 20 percent lower than a year ago.
