WISE, Va. (WYMT/Bristol Herald Courier) - A new chancellor for the University of Virginia's College at Wise will be named Friday.
A news conference is being held around 10:30 a.m., after a Board of Visitors meeting.
UVa Board of Visitors Rector Helen Dragas, President Teresa A. Sullivan, other senior university officials and representatives of the chancellor search committee will be there, according to a news release from the university.
The announcement is being held at the David J. Prior Convocation Center. The building was named after the chancellor who died unexpectedly last February.
