PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Southern Kentucky county has a new coroner after the last one pleaded guilty in a theft case.
The Commonwealth Journal reports Charles Godbey was sworn in Thursday.
He replaces Richard New, who resigned Wednesday as part of a plea deal he made in the theft case.
Last week, New admitted to stealing from Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Godbey will finish New's term, which ends on December 31st 2014.
