Posted: Mon 11:56 PM, Dec 03, 2012

OLIVE HILL, Ky (WYMT) - We have new information about the case against a Northeastern Kentucky mayor, who was arrested on drug charges.

The Olive Hill city council has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday night to consider Mayor Danny Sparks' resignation.

Police arrested Sparks last week after they say he sold marijuana to undercover officers.

After the arrest, the Grayson Journal-Times published a copy of a resignation letter sparks reportedly gave the newspaper.

Tuesday night's meeting will begin at six.

We're told the council is also expected to name Sparks' replacement.
