PERRY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - It is not everyday a burglary can lead to new beginnings, but that is happening at what used to be known as Rafferty Peddler's Post in Perry County.
The new owner says she is excited about bringing customers back.
The new owner of Rafferty Peddler's Post in Vicco is Reva Seals.
Seals says customers are coming in and out.
"There's people in here ready to shop. There's people who have stuff in here, but we can't let people come in until we actually get the doors open," said Seals.
When the previous owner could not pay his vendors or rent, Seals took over.
"When an opportunity came open I said yes, we want this place," said Seals.
Seals says she cannot pay vendors what Austin Rafferty owes them, but she would love for everyone to stay.
Travis Owens says this is his first time.
"This will be my first booth. I'm gunna start out maybe with horse feed and start putting some horse accessories and tags and stuff in it," said Owens.
Seals says her business is called Little Man's Vendor Post and officially opens on Monday.
At last check, no arrests had been made in connection with the burglary earlier this week.
