New police chief in Lynch

LYNCH, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials appointed a new police chief in the city of Lynch in Harlan County.

The mayor says the City Council named Andrew Wilson as the successor of former chief Mike Nunley.

Nunley tells WYMT he resigned to take a job with the Alcoholic Beverage Control.

The mayor says Wilson took over Nunley's duties effective immediately.
