New regulation limits disciplinary actions in Kentucky schools

The Kentucky Board of Education has approved a new regulation that would limit the use of certain disciplinary actions in schools that involved physically restraining or secluding children.

The approval came during the board’s meeting in Frankfort on Thursday.

The regulation calls for using restraint for or seclusion only if a child’s behavior poses a danger of serious physical harm.
