Gov. Steve Beshear is expected to be on the Eastern Kentucky University campus Monday, where he'll help launch a new effort to improve fire safety on college campuses.
The project aims to get students to work with their communities and local fire departments.
This is national campus fire safety month.
Last week on the University of Kentucky campus, firefighters burned a room designed to look like student housing, showing how fast a fire can spread.
