WYMT Severe Weather Alert

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of Southeastern Kentucky until 10pm tonight. The primary threats from this system will be strong winds and large hail. Isolated tornadic activity certainly can't be ruled out of the equation.

New county attorney in Whitley County

A southeastern Kentucky county has a new county attorney.

Whitley County Judge Executive Pat White appointed Don Moses to replace newly appointed Circuit Judge Paul Winchester as county attorney.

White said Moses was one of five or six people that showed interest in the appointment and only two had experience working in the county attorney's office.

Moses has more than forty years of legal experience.
