New health rankings released, mountain counties rank low

The new rankings are out and several counties from across the region rank low when it comes to overall health.

That data was released Tuesday by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson foundation in the third annual county health rankings.

IN Eastern Kentucky, Owsley County ranked worst in the state with several other counties following close behind.

The surrounding counties in West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee also ranked low.
