New information about deadly Knox County crash

Posted: Wed 10:31 PM, May 23, 2012

Drug use might be a factor in a car crash Monday in Knox County that killed an 11 year old boy.

Police say Melissa Collett drove her car across the center line on Kentucky 223 and hit a vehicle driven by Dominique Broughton.

11-year old Nathan Broughton died.

Two other children were hurt.

The Corbin Times Tribune reports Dominique Broughton was released from UK Hospital.

At last check, Collett was listed in stable condition at the University of Tennessee Hospital.

State police can not confirm if drug use was involved until all test results are in.
