FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Newly-elected state Auditor Adam Edelen
has appointed state government veteran Tom Bennett as his chief of
staff.
Edelen is being sworn in Monday morning.
Bennett has more than two decades of state government
experience, having served as commissioner in the Department of Fish
and Wildlife Resources and in the Department for Surface Mining
Reclamation and Enforcement in 1988. He also has served stints as
deputy secretary of the Kentucky Natural Resources and
Environmental Protection Cabinet and as a top aide to former Gov.
Brereton Jones.
Edelen has also kept two of outgoing Auditor Crit Luallen's top
officials, Libby Carlin and Brian Lykins. Carlin will serve as
assistant auditor under Edelen. Lykins will continue as director of
the Office of Technology and Special Audits.
