Rounds of heavy rain will begin to move into the area later tonight, leading to the increased potential for flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from now through Thursday and a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tomorrow. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will drop and transition our rain to sleet and eventually to snow. Most of the area could see several inches of snow and sleet before it's all said and done. Keep it locked right here for updates.
Another section of the Hal Rogers Parkway in Clay County will be closed at night through early September.
Officials say the parkway will be closed at Exit 20 from tonight until September 6th between 8:30 pm and 6 am for repairs to the Kentucky 80 overpass.
Drivers will have to exit the parkway at Manchester then immediately re-enter the parkway from the on-ramp.
