LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights is taking nominations for the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame and plans to hold an inductions ceremony this fall in Louisville.
The commission established the Hall of Fame in 2000 and has held intermittent inductions, with it now containing 118 people.
Nominees must have shown exemplary leadership and achievements in civil rights in Kentucky. People making nominations have to submit the name, address, phone number, biography, picture and three letters of recommendation of the nominee.
The deadline for nominations is June 15. Forms and guidelines are on the commission's website at http://www.kchr.ky.gov .
