Officer apologizes for alleged fight involving Johnson County sheriff

One of the men involved in an alleged altercation between two law enforcement officers is issuing an apology.

An alleged fight broke out in September between Paintsville Police Captain Michael Roe and Johnson County Sheriff Bill Witten.

Roe officially apologized for the conflict.

Roe wrote in a letter that Sheriff Witten did nothing wrong.

The incident allegedly occurred over a dispute involving drug related warrants.
