Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet look to widen the Mountain Parkway

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is looking to widen another portion of the Mountain Parkway to four lanes in Magoffin County.

A meeting was held last night to discuss a proposal to widen two miles of the road just outside Salyersville, build a new interchange, and build a new bridge across the Licking River.

The project is expected to cost 22-million dollars and could be under way in 2015.
